He may have not “called” for Trump’s assassination, but implied it and definitely encouraged it, then tried to BS his way out of it. If he would have said “yikes, look at this” and let it go, maybe I could agree with you. But as soon as he claimed he didn’t know what “86” meant…give me a break. He foolishly got caught with his pants down. Letting him get away with this would be yet another case of no consequence for the smug. Charge him with an appropriate crime and put him away. As far as I’m concerned, IMHO, it’s a threat on the President and should be treated as such. You have your belief and I disagree with it but until these clowns start getting locked up, nothing is going to change.

Thank you Peter for bringing common sense into the equation, it helped clarify the whole Comey thing for me. I honestly never heard of Matt Gaetz or others using that term on Biden but you’re right, it’s a huge distraction from the real issues with congress, particularly republicans and their inability to get the job done.
I hadn't heard of Gaetz or Posobiec using the term either until I began digging into the question after seeing the umpteenth rage Note about Comey making "death threats".
