With the California Insurrection spreading beyond Los Angeles, the Democratic Party has truly become the party of violence.
Evening Update
Insurrectionists (let’s not minimize this by calling them rioters) attempted to take over the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles again today.
The LAPD is reporting having made over 100 arrests just today.
This video is the live video from NBC affiliate Channel 4 in Los Angeles starting at 4:46 PM Pacific Time showing the aftermath of clearing insurrectionists from the 101 Freeway. The on-air reporter (unnamed at this time) is taken aback by the number of people who have been detained and are awaiting transportation to a police station for booking and processing.
When the police are arresting this many people, the question is not “why did Donald Trump send in National Guard troops and Marines?” The question is “why do Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom not want LAPD to have backup from the National Guard and the Marines?”
We should hardly be surprised, therefore, that Judge Charles R. Breyer denied Gavin Newsom’s emergency request for a Temporary Restraining Order prohibiting President Trump from deploying National Guard and Marines to assist in quelling the insurrection and restoring order to Los Angeles.
It takes no great flight of fancy to picture Judge Breyer scratching his head trying to figure out what in the Nine Circles of Hell was wrong with Gavin Newsom that he was not wanting all hands on deck to deal with an ongoing insurrection.
Nor should people view this as any sort of grass roots protest movement spun out of control. With online X handles like LAScanner (reported to be one Jack Quillin) having doxxed multiple ICE agents and federal law enforcement officers. there is a clear network of support for those on the front line of this insurreciton.
In what can only be described at epic karma, it has been reported that Quillin is a convicted felon who is prohibited from having access to police scanners and similar devices, which he clearly used to reveal where ICE agents were gathering and staging their operations.
Quillin is sure to have an interesting time explaining this to a federal judge.
Overall, it is unclear if the California Insurrection is still escalating. It is certain that the insurrection has escalated, and it is very clear Gavin Newsom has little interest in doing anything about quelling the insurrection.
Mid-Day Update
The California Insurrection has claimed its first casualty, as a body was found on a downtown Los Angeles sidewalk after insurrectionists and looters (but I repeat myself) were cleared out.
Police are officially unsure if the death is tied to the insurrection, but it seems a stretch to suggest that this homicide would have happened even without the surround violence.
Starting Point
That the violence in Los Angeles as an insurrection is no longer in doubt.
Now we are seeing the violence spread beyond Los Angeles.
60 people have been arrested in San Francisco.
As the violence has moved beyond Los Angeles, riots have broken out in Dallas, Texas.
Monday’s protest in Dallas follows a weekend of heated and sometimes violent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. As a major freeway is blocked. Cars set on fire. Law enforcement used tear gas, rubber bullets and flash bangs to control the crowd.
Police ended up using pepper spray after a protest march in Austin illegally blocked the streets outside the J.J. Pickle Federal Building.
Outside the south gates of the complex, organizers led chants and spoke about immigrant rights. The crowd then began to march towards the J.J. Pickle Federal Building, which houses the local Immigration and Customs Enforcement office.
While organizers led the majority of the crowd back to the Capitol and concluded the organized protest events, several dozen protestors remained at the Pickle building.
After police ordered the protesters to move away from the building, the crowd assembled in front of a police line at East 8th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard. Several dozen officers, some armed with less-lethal riot control weapons, stood at the intersection.
Some Democrats are seeing the danger and the damage here. Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has denounced the insurrection in no uncertain terms.
However, for the Democratic Party, the damage may have already been done. By first minimizing and then valorizing the violence, the Democrats now own the violence.
This is not an issue of Free Speech, or even whether President Trump has the right policies for immigration enforcement. This is an issue of whether our nation's politics will be a threat to the safety and well-being of our nation's polities.
People have a right to peaceably assemble, and to peaceably petition for redress of grievances. All Americans should celebrate and defend those rights.
No one has the right to destroy property, to vandalize, to burn, or assault people, especially law enforcement officers. From the very beginning, that has been the nature of this insurrection.
The Democrats have done this.
The Democrats own this.
The Democrats are the party of violence.

The usual suspects are planning a uprising. Thanks for the website, I know where not to be.
The DemocRATS are already after John Fetterman. His stance reminds me of Harold Ford Jr. the JFK Democratic Party. They always say that JFK couldn't be elected President in this crazy democRATic party.
