I disagree. Israel needs to level to the ground ALL of Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities…every one of them (and if they can manage to kill the Iranian leaders and scientists involved in Iran’s quest to deploy nuclear weapons, so much the better). If Israel accepts a ceasefire too early, it will be twice as difficult, and maybe impossible, to eliminate a revitalized Iranian nuclear weapons program the next time around.
Sorry. I have a hard time believing that Iran will cooperate in anything. It's only doing a stall in the annihilation of its sovereignty because Israel is destroying it effectively and wants to fend off its total defeat. Iran will taqiya its way out of trouble until it doesn't work. Same with the Hamas subhumans
I doubt Iran has seen the light and will actually behave from here on out, but this is where Nixon's observation about self-enforcing agreements is relevant.
We should never trust Iran any more than Israel should trust Hamas. But what that means is that agreements need to be structured so that Iran automatically incurs a consequence for any violation.
I mean that is why I think there is a push for nuclear disarmament now. The only ways you are going to get it with this regime are destroying them or forcing a framework when they are too vulnerable to resist.
Thanks for heartening news, Peter! I’m immediately struck by visions of sour “No Kings” protesters, grumbling about how that no-good tyrant Trump brought about …PEACE. What overreach! What an oligarch to force this…this NON-KILLING on the world. Who does he think he is?
The reality for Israel is that they have finite stocks of munitions just as Iran has finite stocks of missiles. It's in Israel’s best interest not to extend this war longer than necessary.
If Iran is crying uncle the smart move is to arrange a ceasefire.

Hope springs eternal…
Me too

I think further punishment is needed to reinforce the initiative to force Iran to forsake nuclear.
Very good. I believe that is the tactic being employed.

Pathetic leftists.

How much Iranian money did Joe Biden's aides return to Iran without any hope of it's use for good?
Too much
