Anyone who believes any government statistic needs his head examined.

The primary issue as I see it is the demonstrated and public lack of any data integrity on the behalf of previous administrations and the MSM. Once trust is lost, rebuilding it is, in many cases, all but impossible.

I'm very pointedly NOT naming DJT as a bastion of honesty. I do find it somewhat amusing a Madisonian New York Democrat and land speculator, with a side of game-show host and carnival barker, is more and more looking like the most honest man in DC. I mean, talk about a low bar to clear ... this one is a tripping hazard in the Earth's core.

The question remains whether there will be any serious reform at the BLS. The rot there runs far deeper than just the Commissioner at the top.

Oh for heaven’s sake, Peter - look how the Associated Press covered this. No data, no facts, just “Orange Man Bad”. Pathethic!

This is where the narrative begins to backfire.

I suspect President Trump is wrong on the political bias charge, but it's a wash because McEntarfer still deserves to be fired for running a sloppy data shop.

It's also self destructive because her firing by corporate media’s own logic should have no impact. If all she did is approve the press release that is all her successor will do, which nullifies the charge that this will force the Bureau to shade the stats Trump’s way.

What it does do is put extra scrutiny on the BLS reports and everyone's analysis thereof. That's a clear win for me.

Perhaps I should thank the Asinine Press for giving me some extra visibility?

It would be so wonderful if someone did highlight your factual, accurate analysis to a huge audience. You deserve it!

In any case, these lazy, corrupt propagandists (you certainly cannot call them “reporters”) will go to their graves being ashamed of their incompetence. You, however, can meet your Maker with the clear conscience of knowing you discerned and told the truth to the best of any man’s ability. You are objectively GOOD at your work, and deserve whatever rich rewards the universe can bestow upon you, Peter!

Sharp, Peter! You’ve been right about this matter for two and a half years, just as you’ve been right about most things. Always seriously impressive!

Posting conspiracy facts is easy. Just stick to what can be documented.

Posting conspiracy theories is what corporate media does, because they avoid anything that can be documented the way vampires avoid garlic or Democrats avoid jobs
