Low and slow have always been difficult to defend against. Remember Mathias Rust?

But Engels is where a significant part of Russia's nuclear arsenal is based. If their nuclear weapons and the bombers to deliver them are vulnerable to Soviet-era castoff UAVs, that carries a rather significant ramification for their strategy for nuclear weapons and nuclear deterrence.

If ANY base in western Russia should be defended against drone attack, it should be Engels.
