The question asked throughout your great article was why ,despite all evidence to the contrary , does Nicki Haley think she could win in the primaries that Trump has absolutely totally dominated. Another question to ask is why would her backers ( democrats and big business)throw all that money away on a repeatedly proven ,losing candidate ?
What would motivate such actions? The answer might reside in that fearful nagging thought that has lurked in my mind throughout the entire debacle of the nearly stolen 2016 election and the outright theft of the 2020 election.That thought is this,that the left cannot lose at any cost and will try and do anything to keep themselves in their illegal power position.( election interference is one thing , media corruption, institutional corruption, health scare lockdowns and lawfare are just for starters.)They are all in and that means they WILL NOT be defeated and ousted. Haley is their new “plan B “puppet to insert into the equation if Trump gets warfared off the ticket or worse is beset by some out of the blue health disaster or worse again , no longer lives amongst us. This doesn’t mean that we quit fighting for the big win at all .. but It emphasizes the need to recognize the fact that we are fighting an evil that utilizes every immoral ,unethical,twisted illegal angle to destroy Trump ( and his supporters)in order to keep their illegitimate control of this Republic.They are upping their game and will try anything so know thy enemies.
Sadly, those are no longer outlandish "conspiracy theories".
The hope that Trump might be forced off the ticket may very well be why Nikki Haley stays in the race. However, the magnitude of her losses are making her seem a very poor alternative to Donald Trump should he not be available come the fall election for whatever reason. Haley is not attracting any Trump voters, and won't attract them in droves if Trump is out of the running. Frankly, Ron DeSantis might stand a better chance of grasping the Trump banner than she does, although none of the candidates in the GOP primaries have been compelling alternatives to Trump.
My fear is that this situation is being pushed to a breaking point beyond which the evils become insufferable and rebellion becomes sacred duty. That is a terrifying scenario, but it is becoming an increasingly likely scenario.
Nikki has come across as just another career politician, and that’s not what the GOP voters want. They want someone who can ACTUALLY get rid of the ‘defund the police’ crowd of woke, anti-white, anti-business, socialist, totalitarian, oppressive elites that is now the Democratic Party. I think people have really lost their patience with it all, and are through with politely looking the other way.
In the wake of Nikki’s latest loss, I read that she has lost the financial support of the Koch Brothers. Decades ago, they were big champions of libertarian ideals,so I was surprised to learn that they had been her backers. I’ve had a few decades where I wasn’t paying attention to the details of politics. Peter, do you know the back story on why the Koch Brothers don’t support Trump? Did they lock horns on some deal back in the nineties, or what?
Democrats and Republicans alike have long been supportive of having a permanent underclass of illegal aliens living and working in the shadows. They are effectively deprived of much of their fundamental liberties because they have to stay in the shadows.
The most compelling reason to stop the influx of illegal aliens is to stop the absolutely appalling levels of exploitation that are taking place. Far more people coming across the southern border are being trafficked--which is to say used and abused--than anyone wants to admit.
The illegal alien is to the elites of today what the slave was to the elites of pre-Civil War America.
Voting on personalities is nothing new to this almost 76 yo gal. Accordingly I will be dropping out of the insane run up to this farce as it will impinge on my mental health and quality of life. An interesting aspect during this election cycle is what on earth can the Democratic Party DO to defeat Trump? They’ve already weaponized the legal system against him, and that’s backfired. They have every MSM outlet in the country smearing and libeling him, to no avail. They’ve attacked him with every dirty trick in the book, but his support is growing. What’s left to try, politically? Will they try to assassinate him, and make it look like an ‘accident’? What willl they come up with?
