Speech Or Silence: I Have Been Silenced
LinkedIn Finally Censored Me Permanently
Free Speech is a moral imperative.
I have said this many times before, in defense of commentators such as Stefan Molyneaux as well as more noxious persons such as Louis Farrakhan. I will keep on saying it in every forum I can for as long as I can. The animating principle behind this newsletter and all my online commentary has always been to further frank exchanges of ideas, to put as much information in front of the wider public as possible.
Free Speech allows us to have a Free Society.
Free Speech allows us to have Freedom.
Without Free Speech, none of us can ever hope to be free.
As of this morning, at least on the social media platform LinkedIn, I am without any speech, let alone free speech.
What Happened
I will confess, LinkedIn’s decision to restrict my account is not entirely unexpected. For some time I have been getting dinged by their content moderators (moderation bots? One never really knows any more) for posting “misinformation” regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Simply put, I have been called out by LinkedIn for challenging the prevailing narrative about the pandemic, about the Big Pharma inoculations and their claimed efficacy against COVID-19, and about the proposed federal inoculation mandate.
Apparently, I accumulated enough “strikes” for my bad behavior, and mid-morning today I was greeted with their lockout screen:
Regarding the charge of “misinformation” I will only say this: Just as my newsletter articles have links to underlying sources, so do my social media posts. While I always post from a particular perspective, I ground my commentary in the best facts that I have at my disposal. I make no grand claim of truth, merely honesty: I follow the data to whatever conclusions they lead.
Regarding the tenor of my commentary—it is what it is. I am not a politically correct person, but a blunt and outspoken one. Not everyone likes what I have to say, and I do not expect that to ever be the case. My words and rhetorical devices will no doubt offend at least some people some of the time (and will no doubt offend some other people all of the time). I make no apology for either.
LinkedIn has, in their particular wisdom, decided that my presentations of facts and the tenor of my commentary are incompatible with their social media platform.
What Happens Now?
With regards to LinkedIn, I am appealing their termination of my access. That will unfold as it will.
In the meantime, I am still sharing my commentary on Twitter (@allfacts_matter), GETTR (@allfactsmatter), Parler (@allfactsmatter2021), MeWe, and have also started posting again on Gab. I will still be producing this newsletter. The universe is larger than LinkedIn, and, God willing, there is still an audience for my work.
To that end, I hope and respectfully request that everyone who reads this newsletter and finds it worthwhile share it with their friends and colleagues. A newsletter is nothing without readers. I need and value each and every one of my subscribers.
The more subscribers All Facts Matter gets, the less power Big Tech and their social media platforms can have.
The more subscribers All Facts Matter gets, the more people can see an alternative view of things, gain hopefully a better perspective, and be overall better informed about the world we all live in.
LinkedIn has seen fit to silence me, but I have no intention of being silenced. All facts really do matter. Free Speech really does matter. Freedom really does matter. It matters to me. It matters for all of us.
