With countries like Saudi Arabia threatening to get nukes if Iran gets them, it certainly makes war more likely and not less.

Conflict can be avoided only so long. Then it must be confronted.

And so here we are.

As always Peter, I appreciate your clarity and precision in the way you write. I agree with everything you’ve written concerning this situation and I too will support President Trump IF he ends up ordering an attack, I hope it doesn’t have to come to that.

Thank you for the generous praise.

I like to think every sane person prays that Donald Trump does not attack Iran, even while realizing that we are in a scenario where it may very well come to that.

Welcome to interesting times!

Interesting is one way to describe the times we find ourselves living in for sure!

Very well said, and I completely agree with your stance, Peter. I think most of America is essentially relegated to the sidelines here, not having enough information to be adamant about the right course of action. Think of all of the crucial factors we know nothing about: CIA intelligence findings, their assumptions, Khomeini’s plans and capabilities, secret terrorist plans of the Houthis and other factions, etc. We have insufficient knowledge to even come up with an equation, much less solve it.

I’m just waiting, with this ominous situation hanging over my head, trying to just be thankful that I’m on the other side of the world - and hoping that will be enough to save my hide.

President Trump's choices are whether or not to bomb Fordow and Natanz, and possibly other targets inside Iran.

America's choices are whether or not to support President Trump once he has made his choice.

I pray everyone chooses wisely.
