That a slew of high-profile individuals are testing positive for COVID-19 after attending the White House Correspondents Association Dinner or one of the related parties is, frankly, rather comical.
High-profile cases following the dinner include ABC reporter Jonathan Karl, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and reporters from The Washington Post, Voice of America, and other outlets.
There is no exact count, and it is not clear which dinner attendees contracted the virus at the dinner itself or at one of the many parties last weekend surrounding it.
So many ironies, so little space to recount them all….
There is the irony of the media’s leading Karens and propagandists touting the “necessity” of eternal masking, social distancing, and not having any social life whatsoever gathering together without masks, without social distancing, to enjoy a longstanding staple of Washington social life.
There is the irony of so many “fully vaccinated and boosted” individuals spreading the virus amongst each other—oh, wait, this “vaccine” was not meant to prevent disease spread (yes, it was), just to keep people from having to take their vitamins.
There is the irony of people testing “negative” (required to attend the WHCA Dinner) and still spreading the virus. One might almost get the impression that the tests are not all that useful at stopping infectious respiratory disease, were it not for the stellar success that mass testing has had in places like Shanghai and Beijing (oh, wait….). One might also get the impression that Rochelle Walensky’s accidental truth bomb about the tests’ accuracy was right on the money.
There is the irony of these presumably educated individuals emoting on social media about their positive COVID tests as if they were dealing with a severe, potentially fatal illness (it never has been).
The ultimate irony is the expectation of so many in the media that people take the Pandemic Panic Narrative seriously when they demonstrably do not.
Can we send them off to concentration camps like Aussie?
