Apparently the action at Coutts will continue, as this doesn't affect vaccines for cross-border truckers. https://gettr.com/post/ptd6gzb607

If you feel like a lab rat, you might consider that lab rats do not give tithe to their government.

I don't get what you mean, it sounds like you will pay your taxes anyway. Analogies are sometimes confusing. Caesar brought you this, right?

I mean exactly what I say. Yes, I pay my taxes, at least for now. As tempting as it might be to do otherwise, I have yet to see a rational alternative to the present government being proposed. And history suggests that the rebellious impulse all too often leads to greater tyranny not less. The English Civil War gave rise to Cromwell and such atrocities as Drogheda, and a more absolutist rule than even Charles I attempted. The French Revolution gave rise to Napoleon. The Russian Revolution resulted in Lenin and ultimately Stalin's genocidal rule, while the Chinese overthrew the Manchu Qing Dynasty only to wind up with the serial genocides of Mao Zedong's Communists.

The reason I am supporting the Canadian Revolution is because it can prevail without completely shredding the existing structure. The end result may not be the perfect liberty some desire, but it also is not opening the door to something worse than Trudeau.

It may be that the current system cannot be saved and force of arms will be required to put off this government and create a new one. That is a very real possibility, and a good deal more likely today than even a few years ago.

But it is still a possibility that the authoritarians can be unseated without dismantling the whole system. That is my hoped for outcome. I have no desire to see a shooting civil war in the US. History offers no comfort of that ending at all well.

If I injected you with a clotting neurotoxin....would you also pay me to do it?

I am asking, under what circumstance WOULD you consider not giving your government tithe? If they kill you....they lose the income anyway, and that's what they seem to want. Hmmm.

Frederick Douglass once stated that three boxes held our civil liberties: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

When the first two fail the third will inevitably be called into service.

Have the first two failed? Some would say yes, and certainly there are facts to support that argument.

Am I prepared to make that call? Not yet.

As for the inoculation scenario you propose, that would be a time for choosing whether or not to open up the aforementioned cartridge box. I am thankful the Supreme Court has so far allowed the jury box at least to do its work.

I agree with you Peter! Overthrowing governments is a serious matter! I worked for years with an international peace & relief org! Visited war torn countries. It ain’t pretty! Let’s educate citizens about what democracy means from k-12 & beyond! We have failed to educate our people to think critically! I fear for our Nation!
