Peter, I probably receive too many substacks daily. No way can I read them all. But I do try to skim most of them and read a few in their entirety. Whenever I take the time to read one of your posts, I am always impressed with your research, in depth analysis and impeccable writing. Yes I got lost in the highly detailed weeds a few times in your economic articles but never claimed expertise in that field, as your knowledge clearly exemplifies. I always learn from your various takes on domestic and international issues. And your understanding of the nefarious globalist agenda is requisite for me. Anyway, your hard work is commensurate with your talents and both shine through in your work. Thanks for what you do!
Thanks for the kind words--high praise indeed! You honor me.
One of the columns I wrote for Infoworld Magazine back in the day was on information overload--and in the intervening decades that situation has not improved for any of us!
I completely understand the inability to keep up with everything. Most of my Notes postings are ultimately me working to gauge if there's a worthy article to be had, and even then I frequently have to pass up otherwise significant events because it is simply not feasible to do the background research and develop a credible narrative while the story is still timely. (One of the advantages of focusing on economic issues is that I can stretch my time window a bit, which helps). And even at that I never am able to read up on everything that I would like!
By the way, having to check my email and put in a numeric code to comment, is already a pain in the ass. Is this something new you are doing or trying, as other Subs don't do it. I suppose it cuts down on trolls.
That sounds like you're not signed into Substack--their authentication system is a bit unconventional--but that's all on Substack. I don't think the configuration options even allow me to do something like that.
Your eloquence and beautiful mind are works of art and sources of joy to me, Peter. You know I adore you. Thank you always for the excellence of all that you do!
Thank you for what you do sir! I rely upon you regularly to help me discern the truth about the lies our government spews about jobs and economy with a trust I don’t often give to folks. And while I deem most of it to be incomprehensibly boring, I know that the truth is vital to my understanding of what is happening around this country. It’s not my niche but I feel the information is vital and valuable. I’m not a monthly supporter but am going to head on over for an occasional today AND check out your other stack which I didn’t even know about but am looking forward to reading!

I'm not doing anything to regulate comments.

Just curious. I always sign in and it's just happened on your Substack the last couple of times I've commented.
