I hope and pray it holds, but it won’t hold for long because of ideology and Iran’s rooted hatred towards who they deem little satan (Israel) and big/great satan (USA). Westerners don’t understand the mindset of the Middle East as they enjoy so much religious and political freedoms. Iran and fellow neighbors have a disposition of a dark unregenerate heart that will not cease. A less example is the child told to sit down and is sitting but says “I’m standing up on the inside” and future resistance will ensue in action because of this mindset. I am grateful and thankful for peace while it exists and will continue to pray for peace.

Twelve Shi’a Islam tends to make a virtue of intolerance even to the extent of despising Sunni Muslims. The mullahs dream of exporting the Islamic Revolution and their doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih to the world because they cannot abide anyone living under any other form of society.

However, Iran is facing a major problem with respect to Israel and the US: they have been mauled and manhandled. Their air defense has been obliterated, most of their ballistic missile launchers have been destroyed, and the enrichment facilities at Fordow and Natanz are likely out of commission for a while.

Militarily, they have already lost.

They may not want peace, but I doubt they have any real alternatives.

Speaking of 12er Shi'as.... Guess who's currently in the lead in the Dem primary for Mayor of NYC?

Hint: He's also a "democratic socialist".

With 77% of the vote counted, he's at 43.9%.

And in second place, we have Andrew Cuomo at 35.7%.

NYC is screwed either way.

New York always seems to have to endure a succession of David Dinkins before they elect a Rudy Giulani.

New York has been here before.
