They continued to use ventilators and Remdesivir after studies showed they were deadly. They put sick people in nursing homes. Every drug that was effective early on was banned. They wouldn't even recommend vitamin D. They insisted on useless masks and social distancing. Riots were okay but not church attendance. I despise everyone of them still pushing the useless "vaccines"and claiming that they know what they are talking about
My husband died of liver disease January 2020. We had a memorial service and went to Puget Sound to spread his ashes. We rode on the Vashon ferry, in the middle of Seattle’s epidemic, when they were putting sick people in nursing homes. Not one person got sick. They started restricting gatherings sortly after.
What saved me was that Dr John Campbell was able to get the results of studies on his You Tube channel. And I remember the polio epidemic and how we behaved. It just didn't seem right and none of the restrictions made sense.
What I could not fathom was how the medical establishment around the world turned their backs on decades of research and clinical data to assert novel theories about COVID. I still do not have a good explanation for why that happened.
They were bought off. They couldn't allow any alternatives as that would mean they couldn't push the vaccines. My favorite video was Dr Campbell and Dr Pierre Kory. They went over everything that had happened, and logically, Dr Kory had to admit that they had been lied to. They pulled his license
Nowadays I am convinced that there never was a thing called SARS COVID 2. I would also add that PCR tests are useless, prove nothing. It was always about injecting as many people as possible. Great article though 👍
I now cannot find the article I saved, it stated that out of 60,000 Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis patients in Northern Italy only about 20 tested positive for the virus (SARS-CoV-2) and only 14 even went to the hospital with no admissions and ZERO deaths. This was one of the first articles that mentions the use of therapeutics having anti-viral effects, the drug in question was hydroxychloroquine.
Is it possible that this article was corrupted on my computer, or simply deleted.
Quinine, the original plant extract of which HCQ is a manufactured analog, was used in the treatment of Influenza-Like Illnesses as far back as the 19th-century.
Even Anthony Fauci wrote positively about HCQ back in the day.
Was HCQ a "magic bullet"? No, nor was Ivermectin.
However, if we presume that COVID was as deadly as corporate media presented it to be, if the hospitals were as overwhelmed as corporate media presented them to be, if HCQ reduced hospitalizations by a mere 5%, the question of having enough treatment beds in hospital would have vanished completely.
That's the real outrage with Ivermectin and HCQ: given the panic over overflowing hospitals, anything which would reduce hospitalizations by any degree would necessarily have had amplifed effect by resolving the resource constraints surrounding hospitalization.
Speaking as someone who has done Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning for a quarter century, I can say without fear of contradiction that in a crisis, those small percentages can make all the difference. Playing for those small percentages is an established best practice in every domain of crisis response--it's why first responders do triage when they first happen on an accident.
Yet those small percentages were intentionally discarded--not ignored, but deliberately dismissed--by the notional "experts". Decades of accumulated wisdom on how best to manage crises, how to treat infectious disease, and how to staff and support hospitals were tossed out the window like yesterday's trash.
That's why I will always keep beating this dead horse: the facts WERE known. The evidences WERE there. The data WAS available. And everyone knew it.
Nah. I’ve never been one to get sick often, and when I do I usually just out-stubborn the virus.
Had a girlfriend who was a nurse, and she was amazed that I could wake up in the morning running a couple of degrees of fever and by the time I showered and dressed and was caffeinated the fever would be gone without me ever taking aspirin or ibuprofen.
I told her “I do not have time to be sick right now. Maybe later after work.”
Considering the safety profile of both medications, HCQ & Ivermectin, wouldn’t a tax deductible med-pac containing them as well as various vitamins hanging at the front of every gas station checkout line in the country be a good idea, as well as the Governor (of whatever state) giving comprehensive instructions about the use of the med-pac, as opposed to what did happen.
While the absolute efficacy of HCQ and Ivermectin as prophylaxis is uncertain, the cost profiles of both medications would tend to argue in favor of that sort of approach.
Even an incremental reduction in disease severity and incidence of disease would have large economic benefits, both in terms of reduction in hospital strain as well as in overall worker productivity.
We do well to remember that, when the totality of evidence is considered, perhaps the best therapeutic around for COVID (and, by extension for most Influenza-Like Illnesses) is Vitamin D supplementation.
A mini-pac with Vitamin C/D megadose, a dose of Zinc, along with HCQ or Ivermectin could be a productive step towards minimizing ILI, especially during cold and flu season.
For all the talk about “flattening the curve” that was done at the time, the steps which were statistically most likely to flatten that curve were the ones that were deliberately quashed by government and by corporate media.
And Uttar Pradesh demonstrates the virtue of a "small ball" approach to pandemic disease containment. Keep the incidence rate down and the natural progression of the disease quickly resolves itself.
Everyone was looking for the home run, when beating out a bunt and an infield single was what put the runs on the board against COVID.
“Yet they lied because people let them lie. They lied because people were willing to accept what they were told at face value. They lied because people were unwilling to question. Rather than reach their own conclusions, people chose to accept the “conclusions” proffered by others.”
This is now the big cultural change. We no longer trust anything ‘they’ say, whether it’s government, corporate media, academic scientists, Big Pharma, or anyone else in the mainstream establishment. Half the country no longer accepts anything at face value, thanks to writers like you, Peter. It’s a huge paradigm shift (and for once this is an appropriate use of that phrase). I am indebted to all of you brave souls on Substack who wrote the truth, usually at great cost to yourselves. THANK YOU.
My fear is that people will shift from blindly believing corporate media to blindly believing alternative media.
Facts are not rendered non-factual because they are reported by corporate media.
Falsehoods are not rendered truth because they are reported by alternative media.
Propaganda occurs when facts are disregarded. Propaganda can occur on the political right as well as on the political left. Propaganda can be found in the favored sources of the MAGA Coalition just as it is found in the favored sources of Democrats.
Any reporting that prioritizes narrative over fact is by definition propaganda. That is the lesson to be learned: that facts are as they are, and however we acquire the facts they alone are deserving of consideration.
Remember that the "trusted news initiative" insured that almost all public news outlets were controlled the same way, telling the same story. People had never been subjected to such propaganda and censorship and weren't expecting it. In short, we did not know how terrible those in control were and we foolishly trusted them. Real news was hard to find as it was deliberately being kept from people. None of this was coincidence. It resulted in chaos, and Joe Biden being selected (I mean "elected"), and in trillions of dollars being charged to the US taxpayers. It wasn't just about funneling billions to the pharmaceutical companies, it was about funneling trillions to all kinds of places that never should have gotten it. Where did it all go? What do we have to show for it?
A great deal effort did go into persuading people not to look for the actual data.
And a great number of people were persuaded. Many still are.
Yes, finding the data can be challenging. Research is a fairly large part of the work that goes into this Substack.
But this is why I emphasize over and over that the data IS out there. It's not just lying by the side of the road, waiting to be picked up, but if you go looking for it you will find it.
That's the mindset we need to nurture within ourselves--that skeptical curiousity that says "let me go dig into this."
Not everybody can be fully apprised of everything. I routinely have to decide which news events I am going to pursue, and sometimes I make the decision not to pursue something simply because I cannot give it the time it requires.
But everybody can research something. If people will but do that--just research one thing and become knowledgeable about one thing--we have the foundation of a society that is as immune to the evil effects of propaganda as we can hope to be.
Trusting others has gotten us nowhere. Now we must cultivate a healthy distrust
All true. My big concern is how AI will make it harder for us to discern the truth. If AI effectively takes over most information sources, and AI is essentially programmed via ‘garbage in, garbage out’, we are going to need genius brains like yours, Peter, to help us tell truth from half-truths, and propaganda from objectivity. I hope you’ll keep at it!
You’re right: AI does not help, and AI is likely to make things worse in the near term.
But if we focus on finding primary source data—the actual video, the actual quotes, the actual data, the actual research—we can mitigate a lot of the confusion that is intentionally spread by so many.

I could go on and on and on about the many falsehoods that were spread.
I have covered several of them in my "Health Matters" Section
https://newsletter.allfactsmatter.us/s/viral-matters
Vitamin D. Ivermectin. HCQ.
Facemasks and ventilators.
The hospitalization "crisis" that never happened ANYWHERE.
The multiple ignored red flags on the mRNA inoculations. The multiple lies told about the mRNA inoculations.
The level of deception and deceit within corporate media and put out by the government was and is several orders of magnitude beyond appalling.
And it is made even worse by the reality that the facts are available for everyone. The data is out there to be reviewed and used.

“Just the facts, ma’am ”
I started following Zero Hedge around that time. They were the vanguard for reporting the other side of the Covid argument.

Keep up the good work, Peter!
The research establishing the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine predates COVID by years.

Peter, did you ever take “666 with Quinine,’ for colds & flu. Before they discontinued it, way before Covid.
Nah. I’ve never been one to get sick often, and when I do I usually just out-stubborn the virus.

Attitude is everything!
Everything!

There is substantial documentation that Ivermectin and HCQ were major factors in containing COVID within Uttar Pradesh.

Zero COVID. OMG. I’d forgotten about that idiocy. Well, more like I excised it from my memory.
Zero COVID is especially something we should not forget.
It is cliche and yet it is true that when we do not remember our history we are doomed to repeat it.
We must always remember the past, because that is our only hope for finding a better future.
