Sometimes NUMBERS can be thrown out of the window. It wasn't close...not until the spare ballot papers stored in cupboards for counting seven days after the election were counted anyway. Wisconsin wasn't close. But what I saw was black, hispanic, latino, jewish, muslim, asian and native AMERICANS winning the vital States for PRESIDENT TRUMP.

Ultimately the number that counts is the one in the win/loss column. For the immediate purposes of assessing an election, that's the critical number.
Where econometric historians such as I frequently pretend to be draw value from the deeper analysis is in evaluating the apparent effects of messaging and campaign strategy. The past is our only guide to both the present and the future, and examining shifts within voter coalitions this time around will be the baseline for looking at the 2026 midterms, as well as the 2028 Presidential election.
Plus when you're a nerd like me numbers are just fun! 😁
