Peter, you’ve read my mind. I’ve been reading many Substack posts favorable to Trump, but have wondered how much bias and wishful thinking is baked into their projections of Trump’s victory. Your reliability clear-headed analysis is far more valuable in assessing the actual status of the Presidential race. Thank you.

When I’ve been driving around Minneapolis these past few months, I’ve paid conscious attention to election yard signs. There’s no question that this city will vote blue, but I’m not seeing much enthusiasm. For the most part, the yards with HarrIs campaign signs are the yards that still have Black Lives Matter signs displayed - in other words, people who remain clueless about the scandals in that movement, and are just blindly virtue-signaling in Democratic Party solidarity.
The local media have been doubling down on advancing anti-Trump hysteria. Articles are strident in promoting fear of Trump’s policies; they are ‘disastrous’, ‘dangerous’, and, of course, ‘a threat to democracy’. I’m seeing indications of panic and desperation. Peter, can you think of any plausible, last-minute, hail-Mary-pass strategies that we should watch for from the Democrats? (Aside from the almost cartoonish threat of assassination attempts.)
