Much of what needs to be said is fundamentally about principles.
If people are waving a Mexican flag while burning and spitting on the American flag, they are declaring their animosity to this country.
If people who advocate tirelessly that we should extend special privileges (and that is what is being asked of Americans) to illegal aliens would spend just half their time and energy advocating for improved immigration processes and facilitating legal immigration, we would not have to remember names such as Laken Riley. The refusal of people to stand up for the law--for Congress' Constitutional duty to regulate immigration and naturalization--is not only an attack upon the Constitutional order of things, it works against everyone's interests.
I will acknowledge that these are not statements of empirical fact. Rather, they are statements of principles. They are statements of belief.
This is where I stand. People can like it or they can go to Hell.
I know Musk gets a lot of credit for helping with Trump's reelection but I think it is vastly overrated. Now Abbot busing illegals to blue cities and forcing them to face the consequences and the publicity probably made him an unofficial MVP for the campaign.
The busing to blue cities was definitely a game changer, and that was all Greg Abbott's doing. Abbott used the Democrats' visceral NIMBY reflex to flip the script on them, and make "sanctuary city" politicians scream bloody murder about an "invasion" of illegals in their back yard.
It's all fun and games until you actually have to face the consequences of your policies.
