And all entirely intentional. Welcome to the Great Reset, folks.

I hope Biden's "heartening" tweet isn't the ultimate clot shot troll post.

Regardless, I used to vacillate between whether the WH occupants were simply incompetent or actively working to destroy American's way of life. Either way, it doesn't seem to matter anymore, the poor's buying power is doa now, the middle will get it by Xmas. The Party members and millionaires will skate, again.

There's malice.

There's stupidity.

Then there's malicious stupidity.

Pretty sure the current regime in the White House has a good dose of all three.

Thank God the GOP will sort this out after November. /s

They used to call it "public service". Maybe we should change the name to "public business", because they are giving us "the business" out in public.

How about just plain "closed for business?

Nutty me telling people for over a year to stock that pantry and ammo drawer - just in case.

Depends how you define "nutty". Even if you don't believe in some apocalyptic event, it would make sense to stock merely because of inflation.

It seems more like a cascade of apocalyptic events to me. Inflation is but one facet. Maybe I read too much lol.

Here comes monkeypox!

I must apologize, Peter.

Yesterday I told you the average price of unleaded had reached $5.00.

It was a prediction.

This was an error, it was $4.99. Per gallon. Shades of Barack, or Jimmy, or something!

"Chaos is coming."

Yep, but what gets me is the "86 times" increase in inflation.

Eighty 'forking' Six times!

I'm almost scared to ask, but is that a record?

Keep up the great work, CHAOS or NOT (not likely).

The 86 times is arguably more a consequence of the official inflation rate being so low in May 2020 than it is of the inflation rate being 8.6% in May of 2022. Is that a record? I honestly don't know, and am not sure I have a means of assessing that with any degree of reliability. Record or not, though, it's not good!

That being said, while I have not checked the Shadowstats unofficial inflation stats, it is a given they will posit inflation numbers even worse than the official ones.

And in either case, the trend line does not indicate we are yet near the top of the curve--inflation has more to go before it maxes out, extrapolating from the current data.

That to me is the scary part--not the inflation we have had thus far, but the inflation we have yet to experience. Even if the 86 x increase over a two year span is a record, it could quite easily be surprassed in coming months.

(And thanks! I am glad folks find my work useful!)
