Ok, so everyone is afraid of a threat to democracy which is becoming a euphemism for Trump or Harris. What is democracy? My world is fearful of republicans and believe Trump is Hitleresque. Can you please give me a definition of Democracy so when I ask my family the same question I understand how to articulate this? Especially with our Constitution? I’ve understood democracy is majority rules, in a family of 6 McD wins 4-2 over BK. Too simplistic? I don’t expect the willingly blind to see but I want to be as clear as I can. Thank you
"Democracy" as the term is used today is generally shorthand for democratic process--which is to say the principle that the citizens of a country form an electorate and their votes, through referenda as well as election of legislators, are the foundation for civic government.
Both sides have argued that the other means to put an end to democratic process, in much the same fashion that Octavian Caesar put an end to the process of electing consuls in 27 BC, bringing the period of the Roman Republic to an end and ushering in the Roman Empire.
Of course, since 2020 both sides have indulged in more than a little authoritarianism, which makes neither side the most reliable champion of that democratic process. Still, I have to agree with RFKJr that, at this juncture, Biden and the Democrats have done far more to subvert democratic process to a much greater degree than Trump, most notably by orchestrating the palace coup that pushed Joe Biden out of the 2024 Presidential election.

Sometimes it feels like I’m watching a bad movie or I’m in a Dr Who episode with MSM and internet clips of Biden now Harris and others decrying Trump like a Bond villain that must be destroyed. I went to watch a Bible study YouTube and there’s Harris warning me about the end of democracy if Trump wins. Thank you for being a sound voice who knows how to articulate thoughts clearly.

So what are the odds someone is going to turn a Kamala Harris speech into a cheesy riff on Mystery Science Theater 3000? I can't think of any other way to make her hyena cackle even remotely palatable.
