The most important bit of news about the Freedom Convoy after they arrived in Ottawa is this update from the Ottawa Police last night:
Downtown begins to clear for the night; Police report ‘no incidents of violence or injuries’
Ottawa police reported that crowds weere beginning to disperse for the night, but many streets in the downtown core remained closed or impassable to vehicles. In what was expected to be their final briefing of the day at 8 p.m., police said there “have been no incidents of violence or injuries reported.”
The truckers are playing it straight and keeping it peaceful. Pray they stay that way even with government types attempting to stir up trouble.
A good question. I honestly have no idea where the Ottawa Police stands politically. (I'm in Texas, so the situation on the ground in Ottawa is not something I have any direct experience with)
I imagine there are some cops who support the convoy, some who support their right to protest, and some who think the Freedom Convoy is a domestic terrorist group. What the breakdown is is not information I have.
If you were to poll the police in the rank and file, are we thinking that they support the truckers?
