I still don't understand zero covid. Back in 2020, China was at least pretending to get back to normal in the spring and summer when the rest of the world was losing its mind. Now that the rest of the world is getting back to normal, China is losing its mind.
I don't understand their motivation for perpetuating this. They, of all countries, must know how non-lethal covid is for the vast majority. They wisely avoided mRNA (though pushing their own junk vaccines). I thought economic growth was their end all be all for the last 30 years. These "uprisings" look different. Yes different time, different place, different tech. There's not the sense of urgency that is common to rebellious uprisings gaining traction.
