I think people's sofas may be overwhelmed for a week, but hospitals...

And children’s fever reducer has a shortage, it’s hard to believe this is 2022.

Although in many cases that may turn out to be a good thing, as those fever reducers are easily given too early. At too low a fever, where the fever is still beneficial. And as regards acetaminophen, according to Dr Lyons-Weiler's findings, there is a correlation between that given for post-vaccination fevers, and subsequent autism. So, never mind if paracetamol liquid is out of stock. (Think positive.) For the really high fevers, one can grind a tablet and put it in joghurt or juice although the liquid formula is more convenient of course. And of course it is an imposition that all the time something is out of stock now. Let's not let it get to us. That would be the purpose. Has anyone read Ernst Juenger, The Forest Passage (1951)? There he warns against becoming dependent on medications and also against enrolling in centralized health care services. He doesn't trust them. Very interesting. He was coming out of a totalitarian experience, too.

This sounds a lot like the narrative that was pumped out in Australia leading into our flu season (your summer). It was an early spike followed by a mild season. I suspect bullshit is afoot across the world, but I don’t know how it normally unfolds so forgive me if I sound a paranoid.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there aren't Faucists and fascists eager to micromanage your very existence.

I know a lot of people who have been sick recently, but a lot of people just say the flu when it actually could be some other virus like an adenovirus, RSV, coronavirus, etc. It seems like a busy sick season to me, but most people just deal with it and do not end up in the hospital. As you point out the corporate media loves virus fear porn in order to promote Pharma's products to keep their advertisers happy. It is always about the $$$$$$$$$$$.

I enjoyed reading your great and very analytical post!

Remember when “there’s a bug going around” and a good amount of the people you knew were sick for a few days, during what usually equates to a two or three week period, was all the ILI news you got? Maybe a mention or two on local news during flu season but it was all pretty much 2nd or 3rd story stuff.

Is it possible that, just like they’ve done with the weather, “news” outlets have looked at their ratings data, and determined that health “emergencies” and constant fear have had a boosting effect, so are more than happy to twist the facts to match their click bait attention grabbing headlines?

The problems with the “if it bleeds it leads” tactic are that first, you can only get away with fake blood for so long, but that also the blood needs to flow quicker, faster and more close to home with every story to grab the same amount of attention.

I'm not surprised. Michigan has long been one of the worst offenders in padding and misrepresenting their stats.

I live on Sacramento, the narrative locally seems to me to be driven by PH experts to push us back into masks. Even anecdotally, the peak seems to have already been reached in my circle. Happened early this year, could be overvaccination, could be paranoia.

And another thing.

Exactly why did they really take Quinine 5grain capsules (OTC) off the market all those years ago?

And remember "666 with Quinine?"
