Ever since Woodrow Wilson and FDR, the Democrats have embraced government as a societal good far more than the Republicans. Which is ironic given that the first progressive President, Theodore Roosevelt, was a Republican.
But it makes them more cognizant of the potentials inherent in government power, which is itself a level of corruption.
This may be outdated, or it may not. Do we want to find out? The Democratic Socialists in conjunction with there friends, the Republican Vulture Capitalists, have reached a point where they may not remain hidden, the outrageous diversionary campaign has failed (so to speak). Russia remains an enemy, except to the Democrats and Republicans, most of whom don't even know it.
