Good points, but I think they aren't done with monkeypox yet...I just read today about kids getting it in Atlanta - https://www.wsbradio.com/news/local/new-case-numbers-show-least-3-kids-under-age-17-georgia-have-contracted-monkeypox/DU3QYSBUHJGYRK6TSWEJTDB2C4/

The propagandists are going to not go quietly, but while monkeypox is occurring among children, it is not spreading rapidly, or even much at all.

The CDC reports that there are:

4 boys and 2 girls in the 0-5 age bracket,

5 boys and 2 girls in the 6-10 age bracket,

2 boys and 2 girls in the 11-15 age bracket,

and 119 boys, 12 girls, and 3 non-binary persons in the 16-20 age bracket who have contracted monkeypox.

Without delving into the particulars of each case it is futile to speculate on the mode of transmission, but the number of children who are infected is such a small fraction of the overall case count that their impact on the future trajectory of the disease is effectively nil.

Barring a major shift in the epidemiology, monkeypox has peaked and is fading away.
