We all know how this is going to play out: “it’s Trump’s fault!” About twenty days after Trump’s inauguration, the MSM will start screaming that job hiring is down, layoffs are up (especially because of DOGE), and the economy is crashing, and it’s all Trump’s fault! Few people will think it through enough to see that of COURSE this downturn started under Biden. But those of us who read the hard data and sound analysis in All Facts Matter know better. Thanks, Peter!

Just for fun, Peter, maybe you could keep track of the number of days it takes after Jan 20 before the MSM starts blaming this on Trump. We could even place bets - I’ll bet a $5 ko-fi tip that you see the first media blaming on Feb 6. If I’m wrong, I pay you. Anyone else care to place a bet on a date?

Oh, if I’m right? Peter, you may kiss my hand.

Well, the weekly unemployment numbers come out on January 23. If those numbers go up, it’s a fair bet the media will blame a “Trump” effect.

The FOMC meets on January 29 to decide whether another rate cut is warranted, and Wall Street is currently pricing in the Fed standing pat—so that will lead to speculation that inflation is heating up which will also be blamed on a “Trump” effect.

The PCE report comes out on the 31st, and that’s the last consumer price report for 2024. If it shows inflation, there again there will be a “Trump” effect. That one might be a bit iffy, though, because the Cleveland Fed’s InflationNow nowcast indicates a drop in the PCEPI.

So I’ll be surprised if there’s NOT a “blame Trump” motif somewhere in the media by February 6. I don’t think the media can go the week without blaming Trump for something.

Remember, the media refused to believe the Trump economy was at all good even when they ran out of ways to spin the positive numbers into something bad during Trump’s first term. Trump Derangement Syndrome might be waning among the Social Media oligarchs, but I don’t think MSNBC and CNN have gotten the cure yet.

Well nuts, my thinly-veiled ploy to get your readers in a ko-fi tipping mood hasn’t worked. I guess everyone is dealing with big Christmas bills now.

I would rather receive🦉 a 'bad' truth 😒 than a good "lie". I guess I had never heard of ⚡🇺🇲✍🏼 JOLTS. 🤷🏻 These are pretty brutal numbers amigo. All Facts Matter and the MSM 📻📺📰 ain't nevah gon git it.... Hopefully the new administration will be a more positive influence on the private sector's view of risk taking and expansion. Sleepy Joe 🦤 and Kamal💃🏽 generated a hunker-down vibe in ♠️ SPADES!

So, let's MAGA! 🌐💪🏼 (A=A) 🗽🦅📜🔔✔️
