Shanghai: The Grim Reality Of Pandemic Paranoia

Previously, I have discussed the devolution of China’s “Zero COVID" policy in Shanghai from Pandemic Panic into Pandemic Paranoia.

All Facts Matter
Shanghai: Pandemic Panic To Pandemic Paranoia
China remains psychotically obsessed with its draconian Zero COVID policy, despite the results on the ground showing the lockdown protocol simply does not work. “It should be pointed out that China’s anti-epidemic policies are science-based and effective, and we are fully confident that Shanghai and other places in China will prevail over the new wave of…

It is easy to look at the facts and see that Zero COVID simply does not work, and that Beijing’s dogged insistence on Zero COVID is nothing short of mass mental illness.

In China, Faucism has gone from mere corrupt junk science to psychotic delusion and denial. Where China is concerned, Faucism is a pandemic of mental illness.

This will not end well for China.

Yet it is still shocking and appalling to view the human cost of that mass mental illness.

Screaming For Food

Shanghai is a city of some 25 million souls reduced to living on the edge of starvation, not because of a failed harvest, but because the government cannot figure out how to deliver food to “quarantined” households. People are getting restless and angry, but most of all they are hungry, taking to their balconies to beg for relief.

@susilee_dean There are too many...l can't post them all. This was last night in Shanghai. Residents , who have been locked up in their homes for months , are banging pots and pans , begging '' HELP! We are dying...''

These are not political protests. These are the protests of people unnecessarily pushed beyond their limit.

Nor are the cries of starving residents isolated instances. India's news outlet WION reports numerous cases of Shanghai citizens taking to their balconies this way, including one eerie Dante-esque video clip taken inside Shanghai's largest apartment complex of people cryng from their windows and balconies.

Recently, independent journalist Jennifer Zeng, whose “Inconvenient Truths" video series analyzes the CCP's rule over China, tweeted out video footage of people being forcibly evicted from their homes because the police wanted to convert the apartment complex into a “quarantine” facility.

Healthcare Infrastructure In Chaos

Twitter user Jinjin Xu, whose profile states she is a “Shanghai based poet & artist”, shared this report on the chaotic state of the healthcare infrastructure in Shanghai:

The medical system is in suspension—most doctors are out here called to do endless Covid tests. There are no new appointments, no surgeries, no medication, no chemo, no dialysis, and the ambulances take days to come. Even if the ambulance comes, you can’t get a pass to leave.

As my readers may recall, similar consequences on a much smaller scale have been documented here in the United States. Shanghai and Zero COVID merely drive the problem to an insane extreme, to where hospitals simply refuse to accept patients.

Jinjin Xu has also shared a photo of an elderly woman preparing to be sealed inside a garage, where she will be forcibly quarantined after her husband tested positive.

COVID Tests Show A Nonexistent Crisis

The insanity of the COVID-19 testing regime is given as the reason one pregnant woman was forced to live in her car for 16 days.

A pregnant woman has lived out of her car for the past 16 days, after she tested positive and her neighborhood community did not allow her to return. Her husband was taken away to a temporary hospital but she was told, they did not have quota for her.
A pregnant woman is covid positive and has been in trapped in her car. They keep telling her to wait to be taken to a hospital There is no food. The Weather is getting hotter, and her child is no longer moving inside her. “Please help me, this is my address.”

The lunacy of the testing policy is underscored by the fact that, as previously documented, the vast majority of COVID-19 cases are asymptomatic.

Regardless of the scientific basis, or lack thereof, the lockdown policies are not achieving the stated objective: Zero COVID cases. Even with lockdowns, cases are continuing to mount in China, with 1,184 new confirmed and 26,411 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on April 11 alone.

Not only are the tests inadequate as a means of disease mitigation, they also document that Shanghai is responding to an healthcare crisis that largely does not exist.

People in Shanghai and across China are testing positive. They are not getting sick.

Who's Next?

As disturbing as the Shanghai lockdown is, it almost certainly is not the last such lockdown in China. Last week Jennifer Zeng reported on communities in Beijing and Guangzhou where positive COVID tests were triggering community level restrictions and lockdowns.

The Associated Press has since confirmed that access to Guangzhou has been closed off, while reporting additional cities, such as Suzhou and Taiyuan are implementing various levels restrictions.

The city government of Suzhou, a center for smartphone manufacturing and other high-tech industry west of Shanghai, told its 18 million people to stay home when possible.

Taiyuan, a blue-collar city of 4 million in central China, suspended inter-city bus service, according to the official China News Service. Ningde in the southeast barred residents from leaving.

These measures, in a grim rhyming repeat of China’s COVID-19 history, are not stopping community spread of the virus.

The government reported 29,411 new cases Thursday, all but 3,020 with no symptoms. Shanghai accounted for 95% of that total, or 27,719 cases. All but 2,573 had no symptoms.

Note that, even now, over 90% of new positive test results are among asymptomatic patients. China is locking down even though the vast majority of Chinese citizens are not sick.

Faucism, Lysenkoism…Madness By Any Other Name

As grim and disturbing as the images coming out of China are, we do well to remember the world has seen this brand of lunacy before. Trofim Denisovich Lysenko and his demented version of agricultural “science” were a key factor the Ukrainian Holodomor famine of the 1930s. Lysenkoism then, just like Faucism today, is a particularly lethal form of scientific bastardy that seeks to justify appalling acts of inhumanity in the name of “science”.

While Faucist foolishness has led to significant human suffering through the lunacy of the toxic mRNA shots masquerading as vaccines, in China Faucist fanaticism is proving to be the rationale for lockdowns so severe and so extreme they border on crimes against humanity. China defends this fanaticism as “science”.

“It should be pointed out that China’s anti-epidemic policies are science-based and effective, and we are fully confident that Shanghai and other places in China will prevail over the new wave of the epidemic,” said Zhao [Lijian].

Yet it is not science. Science—actual data—has from the beginning of the pandemic argued against the lunacy of lockdowns.

The Disaster Of Lockdowns
In response to the CCPVirus (the more descriptive and accurate term for the coronovirus the "experts" at the World Health Organization have given the anodyne label SARS-CoV-2), the world has engages in a series of draconian economic and social shutdowns, placing as many as 4 billion people under what amounts to "house arrest…

That was the case in 2020 and it remains the case today. Politics and political posturing do not and cannot change the psychotic scientific denial denialism of Zero COVID.

Whether here or in China, Faucism is eternally antithetical to science and reason. Whether here or in China, Faucism destroys lives and even whole communities. In China, Faucism has been taken to such an extreme that it threatens the social fabric of China’s largest cities.

Shanghai is grim testimony of Faucism run amok. It is an equally grim foreshadowing of what awaits other Chinese cities.

Faucism means things will not end well for China.

God, this is bleak.

This may be the harbinger of things to come. Each nation is going as fascist as they can as fast they can. Sliding scales of fascism.

It appears that they are going to implement the program, one way or another. They haven't come this far to let it all go and let science or awareness stop it just yet.
