Ukraine was not preparing to attack Russia. There was no marshaling of forces on the Ukraine side of the border with Russia. There was no imminent threat against Russian territory.
Consequently, the premise that Putin was justified in invading Ukraine is morally absurd, morally repulsive, and morally rejected. That Russia has legitimate grievances against NATO and the EU does not give them license to invade a sovereign nation, and Ukraine is a sovereign nation.
