What has happened is the abortion issue has completely overtaken any rational thinking many women might have had about their own health. Many are so focused on the lie that they can no longer get an abortion that they can't see the truth right in front of them that the government has injected them with one without their consent. Makes one think it was intentional. Has anyone ever done a deep dive on Dobbs? It seems like a one week argument causing this profound a consequence could have been foreseen and manipulated knowing the current justices and their opinion on the sanctity of the constitution.

While I agree that the abortion debate has not served to elevate rational critical thinking in any capacity, I would point out that that virtually all of the propaganda surrounding COVID-19 suffers from this same defect.

The tenor of many of the healthcare debates going on in this country--and around the world--arguably is more a symptom of the decline in rational, critical, thinking than it is a cause.,

Well if the new grads coming out of pharmacy school are to be believed (and I've no reason to doubt them) at least 20% of all pharmacy school lectures begin with a pharma rep giving them an advertisement of their products (including free hand outs). I personally would be ENRAGED that I was paying big bucks for that type of education.

That's not education it's indoctrination.

Consumers as a whole should be highly enraged that healthcare professions are being degraded by such educational bastardizations.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was enraged just hearing about it and it was NOT going on in 1997 when I graduated. Worse I mis-wrote it is actually the first 20 minutes of EVERY lecture. The students are left missing out on the last part (given hand outs) and no question and answer period. The $$ coming in from NAIAD/NIH/Pharma for research is the bread and butter of academia. It's a cancer.

hand-outs lol like that's even a thing anymore--told to read the notes that are probably online--and I'm guessing they're not allowed in MedChem as those profs only like the sound of their own voices...I also am sure it's not every lecture but the student describing was so frustrated.
