Elon Musk's mass triggering of employee resignations at Twitter appears to include just about everyone involved in making payroll or cutting checks.
A large portion of Twitter's financial organization, including its payroll department, left the company on Thursday in response to an ultimatum from Elon Musk that has seemingly backfired.
Along with the payroll department resigning, Twitter's US Tax team and its financial reporting team also resigned, two people familiar with the matter said, matching several internal messages seen by Insider. All three segments of the company were part of Twitter's finance and accounting organization. While accounting was "less impacted" by resignations on Thursday, that part of the organization is smaller now, too, one of the people said.
While the corporate media is painting this as a disaster for Musk, one great unanswered question of where these highly indignant ex-Twitter employees plan on working next. With the word “layoffs” stalking most Big Tech headlines of late, these folk are not exactly walking into the healthiest of job markets for those with social media resumes.
Meta is laying off 11,000.
Amazon is laying off 10,000.
Lyft is reducing headcount by 700 workers.
Stripe is cutting staff by 14%.
Salesforce is laying off roughly 1,000.
Exactly where do these ex-Twitter employees plan to find future employment?
No doubt they'll blame their long-term unemployment on Elon as well.
Of course, they'll blame Elon if they can't find work! Who else would be to blame? Dymbocraps ALWAYS blame someone else. They have never been responsible for anything!
So, am I to conclude these people believe themselves principled and cannot work for Musk? And why? Because he wants to end the censorship practices? Or is there more to the story?
If this is correct, good riddance, commies.
