There are more than a few evidence chains that point to either a weaponized pathogen that ran amok or a simple lab accident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
There are multiple evidence chains showing Chinese mendacity and deceit with the apparent purpose of spreading the pathogen as far as possible.
My sense of things is that we should not point to any one lab or any one biosecurity apparatus anywhere in the world and say "X is responsible for COVID." When I have looked into these matters what emerges is a network of relationships among researchers and research institutions which frequently cross political boundaries. I would not call it a "cabal" because I suspect that would imply greater organization and leadership than likely exists, but there are definitely relationships and networks of relationships. That is more than enough for the great mass of "biosecurity" researchers to all have had a part to play in the origin of COVID, whether that origin was the result of deliberate gain-of-function or bioweapon research or simple sloppy lab protocols in this or that lab.
My sense is that Fauci, EcoHealth Alliance, Ralph Baric, Shi Zhengli, and all the other malefactors who have been named at some juncture by various individuals seeking to tease out threads of information are all to a degree culpable. More than a few within US jurisdiction might easily be criminally liable. At this juncture, that would not surprise me in the slightest.
For me the scary part about the various narratives that have emerged on the origin of COVID is that NONE of them are exclusive, and ALL of them potentially are a part of the full story of "what really happened."
And Fauci, rather than come clean, lied his ass off & then ran for the hills, having undercut his ultimate boss for his own nefarious corrupt purposes, having been complicit in the deaths of millions, well more than complicit—urging everyone from 6 months of age on up to get the deadly and ineffective clot shot so he could make a killing on the stocks. Al Capone, Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot were all pikers or saints in comparison to him.
He needs to be drug out of his mansion and into court in a jurisdiction that allows for the death penalty with an aggressive prosecutor and a hanging judge, convicted by a jury of family members of his victims and executed forthwith.
If it can be done to Trump(malign prejudicial venue, judge and jury pool selection, who’s crimes, if any were clerical or hallucinations of an unbelievable individual), then certainly it can be done for the millions of Fauci’s victims.

Until Fauci, I don't think I truly understood what Hannah Arendt meant when, in reference to Adolf Eichmann, she spoke of "the banality of evil."
But I think the term fits Fauci rather well.
